Over the last few days, students have been presenting their prototypes to our Program Chair, Forest Bell. They are preparing for the 2018 New York Fashion Week competition, wherein students will compete for their spot to show.

The Sustainability in Fashion, Empathy for the Environment event will take place next week onThursday, November 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m.

We greatly enjoyed our visit with Ms. Cathy Harris and her accompanying students.

Professor Leslie Simpson teaches FDES 200: Introduction to Textiles, and during the course, Professor Simpson told me that, “students have the opportunity to learn how to weave on simple table looms to create a plain weave .
