2024-2025 Graduating Stats

Our First Destination Survey tracks the success of our graduates as they head into employment or continuing education. For the academic year 2023-2024, we have knowledge of 73% of our undergraduate and graduate program’s first destinations and can report that 92% have achieved a positive first-destination outcome.

A Stevenson Graduate is a Prepared, Professional Hire

The Stevenson Career Connection Center offers a wide variety of employer services designed to connect you with students and alumni. We can recommend strategic approaches to recruiting and work with you to develop a plan that will give you visibility on campus, increase your brand recognition, and provide greater access to talent.

Report a Hire

To accurately determine the effectiveness of our employer recruiting programs and events, it is critical for us to collect information about hiring. The statistics we collect will help us tailor our efforts to provide the best resources for our students and employers. In addition, our federally funded programs require us to report hiring statistics to the federal government. All responses are confidential and will be used in aggregate form only.

Employer Resources

  • Handshake – Stevenson’s centralized, online recruitment platform. This platform gives you direct access to current students and alumni. As an employer, you will create a profile that is accessible to candidates. From here you can post job and internship opportunities, screen candidates, maintain on-campus interview schedules, and register for career events. Candidates are able to access postings and apply through the system by submitting resumes, cover letters, and other requested documents.
    • Do you have an in-home Baby-Sitting/Child Care/Home Care position you would like to advertise to our students? Stevenson Career Connection Center staff review and post these positions in Handshake. Please complete this online form and someone will get back to you within 2-3 business days.
  • Parker Dewey Micro-Internships – Provide organizations with a competitive source of talent for short-term projects. Employers can gain immediate access to talented students ready to apply their skills to a wide variety of projects. For more information, please refer to the Parker Dewey Micro-Internships document.
  • On-Campus Interviewing – You can interview candidates using your preferred video solution. Applications, resume reviews, candidate selections, and scheduling can all be managed through Handshake.
  • Internship Program Development – Career Connection Center staff will work with you to help develop an internship program that will meet your needs, satisfy student academic requirements, and give students valuable work experience in their field.
  • Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities – Brand yourself on campus and create greater awareness of your organization through event sponsorships and advertising opportunities. We can help align your organization with the national leader in career education and enhance your name recognition among Stevenson students, faculty, and staff.
  • Employer “Ask Me Anything” Series – Using our videoconferencing platform, BlueJeans, you can host a 30-minute session with our students. Designed to be an conversation between employees and students, students can ask questions to get more information about the company, industry-specific questions, interview tips, etc.

  • Careers on the Quad – Occurs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (weather permitting). Up to three employers each day can reserve a table on the quad at Owings Mills. This is an opportunity for you to meet with our students on-campus.

Stevenson University supports the long-term development for our students and alumni, offering lifetime advising to our graduates. We can help you to polish your resume, refresh your job search strategy, or identify a new career path.

Advising Services

During the first full year after graduation, all alumni have unlimited access to our online resources and personal career advising. Career Advising is offered in-person, via phone, or via video conferencing. Beginning one-year post graduation, alumni may receive up to three career advising appointments per calendar year. Appointments can be scheduled online via Handshake or by calling our front desk at 443-352-4477.

Online Resources

  • Handshake – All alumni are eligible to use our online jobs database, Handshake, to search for jobs.
    • Alumni who graduated after 2012 will not be able to access their account until it is updated with a valid, non-Stevenson email; please contact the Career Connection Center by email, careerconnection@stevenson.edu or phone, 443-352-4477 so that we can update your email address.
    • Alumni who graduated before 2012 can request an account by going to the Handshake login and clicking on “Sign up for an account” and following the on-screen prompts.
  • CareerShift – CareerShift searches and organizes jobs posted on all public career sites and job boards. It allows you to search, select and store job listings, research companies, and manage your job hunt in your own personalized interface. Contact the Career Connection Center for information on how to set up your account.
  • Mustang Career Mentors Program – The Mustang Career Mentors Program connects student to Stevenson alumni and community partners to provide networking opportunities and career advice. Students are able to search mentors based on their major and interests. They review the matched mentors and connect to mentors of interest through the system. Mentors choose the number of Mentees they wish to have at any time and receive a system email notification when a student asks to connect with them.   • First Destination Survey – Did you graduate from Stevenson recently? Let us know your career path by completing our brief online survey. The information that you provide helps us improve our programs and assures the success of future graduates. Results of the survey are reported in Stevenson’s annual report, highlighting our awesome graduates, their career connections, and Stevenson University.
