Historian, singer, songwriter, actor, director, and professor – there’s little doubt that Dr. Lee Krähenbühl (pronounced “KRAN-beeyool”) brings a wide range of skills to his role at Stevenson University Online. As Program Coordinator for Communication Studies, Business Communication, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Professional Studies, Dr. Krähenbühl offers his wealth of knowledge to SUO’s students and faculty. He says, “What excites me specifically about the role of Program Coordinator is that it brings all of my fields together in the most useful way possible: making learning accessible to a broad audience of learners with their career dreams and goals in mind.”

Lee comes into his position with extensive experience in higher education. Prior to Stevenson, he was an Associate Professor of Communication at Mercy College of Ohio for 12 years. Additionally, he was a visiting lecturer for Stevenson’s undergraduate Business Communications program, and an adjunct faculty for SUO’s communication programs. Dr. Krähenbühl says, “Communication is the single most useful professional tool each of us can use, and we already have that tool in the box–we just need to learn how to use it. Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies both take other coursework and experience to give the student more tools to use.”

As for current and future students, Lee encourages them to take on a winning attitude when it comes to completing their degree, “Make sure you have everything you need before you begin. Then begin. And take a tip from the World Champion Washington Nationals: even when the odds seem against you, never give up.”
