Accepted Student Resources
Welcome to Stevenson University
Now that you have been accepted into Stevenson University Online, here are your next steps:
1. Registration
Your Student Success Coach will contact you to set up an appointment and guide you through the registration process. They will evaluate your transferable credits, develop your personalized degree plan, and review Stevenson’s academic resources available to you as a student.
2. Log Ins
Once you are registered for classes, the Office of Information Technology will send you an email containing information about your single sign-on account and creating a personal password in order to access various applications including WebXpress, Blackboard, SU Now Portal, and your email. If you have any questions about accessing your account or creating your username or password, please contact Tech Connection at helpdesk@stevenson.edu or 443-334-3000.
3. Required Online Orientation: SUO 100
SUO 100 is the required online orientation for all new students. SUO 100 is a non-credit, pass/fail course which will appear on your transcript. There is no charge for SUO 100.
To fulfill the requirement for SUO 100, please complete the following steps:
- Access Blackboard directly by clicking here or by logging into the SU Now Portal from the Stevenson homepage.
- Complete all sections: Academic Integrity Tutorial, Student Success Tutorial, and Final Exam
- Complete SUO 100 Online Orientation before the end of the session’s first week. Please note: SUO 100 due date will be included within the orientation.
Books
Access the Stevenson University Campus Store here. To have your books shipped to a home or work address, please indicate in the comment section that you are a “Stevenson University Online student.” For further information, please contact the Campus Store at college-store@stevenson.edu or 443-352-4062. Please Note: Some courses use bundled sets. For those courses, it is recommended to purchase your books on-site from the Campus Store. Some courses may utilize electronic books and materials. These charges will be posted to the Student Account 2 weeks after the start of the term. You must follow the “Opt-out” procedures to decline use of and associated discounted price of these materials.
SU Now Portal
The SU Now Portal provides one-stop access to Stevenson University information and resources including:
Self-Service
Self-Service contains the Student Finance (not WebXpress), Assign Proxy Access (FERPA and proxy access to Student Finance) and Student Planning and Registration.
Blackboard
Direct access Stevenson’s online learning system, Blackboard is found here. If you need assistance with navigating Blackboard after completing SUO 100, contact your Student Success Coach.
Stevenson Email Account
Following orientation, all future correspondences will be sent to your Stevenson University email address, including tuition statements, course information, and updates. Students are responsible to check this account on a regular basis.
Online Learning
Stevenson University welcomes you to the online learning environment. As many adult students feel overwhelmed or unprepared to take online courses, the Stevenson University Online offers online learning resources such as; an example of a student’s typical week, Blackboard video tutorials, an online learning assessment, and technical requirements for the online learning environment.
Disability Services
Stevenson University admits qualified students regardless of disability and welcomes the full participation of students with disabilities in all aspects of campus life. Students with disabilities who require accommodations should contact us as early as possible prior to the start of their first academic semester, or upon onset of disability, to initiate the intake and eligibility process.

Congratulations, you made the decision to go back to school and continue your education. It may seem overwhelming at first, but with a few adjustments and techniques, you can set yourself up for success. New Student Orientation
All students are invited to an on-campus orientation at the Owings Mills campus. Attendees will receive a student ID (suOne Card), parking permit, and other resource information. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase books and meet their Student Success Coach as well as fellow students in their area of focus. Students are sent an invitation to the New Student Orientation via email approximately two weeks before the start of the session.
suOne Card
Serving as your Stevenson University ID, you are required to carry your suOne card when on campus. Your suOne card is also used for access into buildings including the Fitness Centers, library resources, book voucher funds to purchase books, and debit card purchases at the dining facilities and vending machines. Showing your suOne card may also provide discounts at many restaurants, theatres, and other establishments.
Parking Permit
All students are required to display their Stevenson parking permit within their vehicle when parking at either campus location. Security will issue tickets if parking permits are not properly displayed.

The Enrollment Calendar displays important session dates including the following:
Drop Without Penalty
In order to recieve a 100% refund on a course, students must submit an Course Drop Form prior to the Drop Without Penalty Date. Please note, the final transcript will not include the course.
Last Day to Withdraw
In order to recieve a “W” on their transcript, students must submit an Course Withdrawal Form prior to the Last Day to Withdraw date. Please note, the course will not be refunded.
All tuition billing is managed through Self-Service Student Finance and will not be mailed to students. Student accounts may be viewed on Student Finance. Students are required to settle their accounts in full by the Friday of the first week of class. Stevenson University’s part-time, per credit cost can be found on tuition page.
Please be aware that students in some programs are subject to varied billing and payment due dates.
