Advice for Getting Started

Congratulations, you made the decision to go back to school and continue your education. It may seem overwhelming at first, but with a few adjustments and techniques, you can set yourself up for success. We talked to our Student Success Coaches and students who offered their advice on what students can do to make their transition back to school a smooth one. Click here to review their advice.

All students are invited to an on-campus orientation at the Owings Mills campus. Attendees will receive a student ID (suOne Card), parking permit, and other resource information. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase books and meet their Student Success Coach as well as fellow students in their area of focus. Students are sent an invitation to the New Student Orientation via email approximately two weeks before the start of the session.
