On Sunday, February 11th, nine Stevenson University Fashion Design students showcased their designs in New York during the 2018 New York Fashion Week! All of their looks were inspired by the sights and sounds of the artist Bjork. Students worked for four months on these pieces and the majority of them were created outside of the scope of class projects.
Working with Nolcha Shows, this exciting fashion show took place at the Mercedes Benz of Manhattan! During the show, students gained beneficial experience by working backstage with professional designers, models, make-up artists, and hair stylists. Additionally, they were also included in the media hour where they had the opportunity to meet members of the press and fashion buyers.
Please take a look at some of the glowing reviews Nolcha and other fabulous sites gave our students, which were posted on their various Instagrams and websites!

Richard Magazine said, “Stevenson University is actually a collection that was designed, sourced, and produced by students of the Maryland-based college. This season’s source of inspiration was “The Evolution of Bjork.” With a fashion inspiration that bold, you know there were some edgy silhouettes, creative draping, and futuristic styles on this runway.”
Additionally, after posting us on their Instagram
