Congratulations to 4th year MLS student Emily Gates who was recently awarded a Johns Hopkins Tuition Subsidy Scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year. Over the course of her tenure at Stevenson University, Emily has been a SU Leadership Scholar and a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. She has also been an active member of Relay for Life as well as the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Not only has Emily been a NCAA Individual Qualifier in Cross Country, she has also been named Middle Atlantic Conference Athlete of the Week three times and received the Stevenson University Women’s Highest GPA Award in Cross Country. Emily is not only athletic and smart, but also hardworking, maintaining two part-time jobs all while keeping up with a full course schedule. Emily is an exceptional student and the MLS faculty are proud to have her be a part of the program and a future colleague in the clinical pathology community.
