In celebration of National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, April 24-28, thousands of Medical Laboratory Professionals across the United States put on their running shoes and participated in a virtual 5K! The Lab Week Run, sponsored by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, raises awareness of the importance of laboratory professionals as vital members of the healthcare team and provides scholarships and funding for their Student and New Professionals Member Forums.
Participants from Lifebridge Health Laboratories had a wonderful evening completing their 5K at Meadowood Regional Park in Lutherville, Maryland. Lifebridge Health is a valued partner to Stevenson University’s Medical Laboratory Science Program, providing dedicated lecture and laboratory space for senior students in the program at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Several laboratory professionals from Lifebridge facilities are generous and enthusiastic faculty members and clinical instructors in the MLS program at SU.
