Heather Sarkissian, a Corporate Innovation Manager at DAP, visited students in their Relationship of Design and Business class last week. Ms. Sarkissian presented the process by which her corporation outsources design to smaller design companies and what they look for when collaborating with creative people. Afterwards, students led a discussion informed by the questions they had to research before her visit. Some challenging questions were about corporations creating innovative solutions, the role of failure in design, and importance of end user research in design.
