Wide Angle Youth Media portraits

When the English Department decided to combine several of its publishing efforts and focus attention on a new media-rich online literary journal, the Art & Visual Communication design team jumped at the chance to help them develop names for the project. The Stevenson “clients”— Gerald Majer, the English Department professor overseeing the project and his new journal editor Ben Deigart— visited an upper level design studio class, where we reviewed the rules of brainstorming, handed out white board markers, and asked the groups to, “go crazy.”...Click here to read more.

As we busily prepare for an upcoming trip to Italy, we reflect on the successful trip to Eastern Europe last spring.
 
In March 2014, our photo students went on a photographic tour of five countries in Eastern Europe. With 19 students and three faculty members, we set off on an amazing journey that took us through Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, and Austria. We went on a breathtaking sunset boat tour up the danube River while in Budapest,  and we explored the King's Castle on Wawel Hill while in Krakow. Our students were stunned by the macabre beauty of the "bone church" in Kutna Hora (just outside of Prague), and were amazed by the beauty of the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna....Click here to read more.
Cameron Dukes  is a hard-working former student in the Film & Video program who also pursued a minor in Photography. While at Stevenosn Cameron’s work was exhibited and published regularly, including twice in the Photographer’s Forum Best of High School and College Photography.
 
Cameron’s most recent acheivement? His high fashion still photographs are featured on the website of Vogue Italia. Cameron's striking images have been catching the eyes of local & regional fashion photography fans for the past two years, and his dedication to his craft has now earned him a spot on the international stage as he is featured on one of world's most influential fashion websites. ...Click here to read more.
