This past March, a group of Stevenson Film/Video students traveled to the 2015 SXSW Festival.
We’d like to offer the trip again next year – again during our Spring Break, and again as part of a “Special Topic” course (this time crosslisted with the “Major Directors/Movements” course of the new Film and Moving Image curriculim) – and are actively recruiting rising Juniors and Seniors to consider signing up. Festival attendees start booking Austin, TX, hotels in July of the year before the festival, so the sooner we have an idea of how many students will go, the better chance we have of booking affordable hotels that are within walking distance of the festival.
