Welcome Back

We hope that everyone had wonderful holidays and an enjoyable break! We are thrilled to share some of our upcoming exciting events that the students, faculty, and staff will be participating in this spring.

On Thursday, February 14th,  ten Stevenson University Fashion Design students will be showcasing their designs in New York during the 2019 New York Fashion Week. This exciting fashion show will be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania, 401 7th Ave, New York, NY 10001! During the show, students will gain beneficial experience by working backstage with professional designers, models, make-up artists, and hair stylists. Additionally, they will also be included in the media hour where they will have the opportunity to meet members of the press and fashion buyers.

From February 25th to February 27th, Dr. Holly Lentz-Schiller will be taking 10 fashion merchandising students to New York. There they will be attending the Coterie Trade Show, a large fashion and apparel industry tradeshow, which is similar to the MAGIC trade show in Las Vegas! Students will have the chance to explore where buyers go to purchase merchandise and how the sales process works. There are also seminars that students can attend should they choose, and the opportunity to make valuable contacts in the industry. They are also going to try to squeeze in a visit to the Museum at FIT!
