Studying abroad in Italy was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not everyone gets the chance to live in a city and immerse themselves with art, history and fashion, and I did! I was in Florence and saw the world like I have never seen it before. Every day, I would walk to class and pass historical sights. It was surreal; everything looked like a painting. Pictures did not do it justice.

My fashion courses in Florence provided me with knowledge from fashion insiders on a daily basis. And when I left the classroom, Italy served fashion on a platter to me. When I travelled, I was inspired by the people I met, and the way they dressed. I made connections not only to the people but the culture.

The experience allowed me to grow, and it made me more independent. I got to live as a local, make friends from all over the world and memories to last a lifetime. I could give you a million reasons to study abroad, but you should experience it for yourself. If I ever get the chance to do it again, I absolutely would. We have a great study abroad office at Stevenson that helps you figure out where to go and how to get there! So, don’t miss your chance to see the world when you get to college!
