Visiting the QA/QC Lab
Conducting an olive oil tasting with the blending manager, Nick

The students in Chem 310, Analytical Chemistry, visited the Pompeian Olive Oil company on Friday September 26th. The students and faculty in attendance received a tour of the bottling factory, the quality assurance laboratory and a tasting session. Students are learning about quality assurance methods in the course, and were able to see them in practice in the laboratory. Pompeian was named a USA Today Top Workplace for the past three years, among other accolades, which makes it a great place to work . Our hosts for the visit were former SU chemistry students Ryan and Matt, who have been working in the laboratory at Pompeian for several years.
