Biochemistry senior, Kennedy Akwo, is excited about his future career in pharmacy. During his capstone, he researched the disparity in safety, efficacy and perception between brand name and generic drugs. He presented his findings at the Fine School of the Sciences Poster Session. Based on the various pharmacy schools that he was accepted to, Kennedy has chosen to attend Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy starting in Fall 2017.

Aloha from Hawaii! While we’re experiencing winter weather in Baltimore, students from Stevenson’s environmental science study away class have been exploring and learning about the island of Oahu. Through hikes and bikes to Diamond Head and Manoa Falls, a fish auction and a traditional Hawaiian Luau, students have gained more knowledge about the Hawaiian culture, flora and fauna. From our department, chemistry senior, Nick Hooke, and biochemistry junior, Morgan McCluskey Wirtz are part of the group.
