Senior Chelsea Cavey worked with SU adjunct faculty member, Chris Motsiopoulos, Director of the Office of Statistical Analysis and Support at Social Security Administration for her internship experience. She loved her internship and learned a lot. As part of her work there, Chelsea studied disability insurance provided by private insurance companies and Social Security. She explained that this internship will help her as she embarks on her career after graduation in May. Chelsea presented her work at the School of the Sciences poster session in December.

Senior Lauren Rose completed her senior internship at T. Rowe Price working with a database analyst. In addition, she studied whether it is possible to accurately predict the activity of the stock market through major global and economic events ased on historical data and prior attempts. Lauren is a student in the BS (Math)/MS (Forensic Accounting) at SU. She will finish her degree in math this coming May and her master’s in forensic accounting in May 2016.
