This year’s Stevenson University Film & Moving Image 72-Hour Film Festival, sponsored by our amazing FMI Club, runs Nov. 15-18. We will screen the completed films on Friday, November 22, at 7pm in our Soundstage.

Contestants have to work with the following three requirements: 1) include a little yellow rubber duck (provided by the FMI Club); 2) feature at least one extreme close-up; 3) include one line of foreign-language dialogue.

The festival is sponsored this year by Canon, which has donated some nice Canon swag. These items, as well as Amazon gift cards, will be given to the first-place winners. There will also be prizes for second and third place, as well as an audience award.

The 2024 festival will be judged by Stevenson University President Eliot Hirshman, FMI Alumna Caitlyn Thomas (Class of 2019), and Frederick, MD-based filmmaker Jordan Holt, of Falling Squares. Many thanks to them for the time they will give to watch and evaluate all submissions.
