Stevenson University is committed to providing a safe and healthful work environment for all employees. In pursuit of this endeavor, the University has developed a bloodborne pathogens exposure control plan (ECP) in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030. “Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.” The ECP identifies and establishes guidelines for employees who have a definite or possible risk of an occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials. It is the intent of the ECP to train, educate, and specify procedures and precautions that will minimize the likelihood of an exposure to these infectious materials. In the event of exposure, members of the campus community are responsible for implementing the post-exposure procedures described in the ECP.
