Stevenson Theatre and Media Performance students Aiden Abraham ’25 and Reneé Young along with alumna Laura Holland ’18 were featured actors in Quarry Theatre’s production of The Red Shoes: Soul Stories at the Baltimore Theatre Project. Kyla Johnson ’26 stage managed and directed by Professor Ryan Clark, Program Coordinator of TMP. The Red Shoes: Soul Stories explored the complex issue of addiction, compulsion, and mental health using the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale as an anchor in the storytelling experience. For the three current Stevenson students, this project served as their summer internship. TMP prides itself on exposing students to a wide variety of theatrical genres including experimental/devised theatre like this piece.
