We have had a great fall semester in Theatre and Media Performance at SU. Over 1,000 people had the opportunity to see live theatre this semester between our productions of The Odd Couple and Oedipus Rex. On Friday, November 13th, over 200 area high school students came to campus to see a special high school matinee performance of Oedipus Rex, which included a talkback and lunch. Collaborations with the English and Public History departments were very successful with several class visitations in connection with our productions. The Shape of Things—our spring Studio Theatre production—has been cast and rehearsals are under way. Finally, we are in the process of season planning for the 2016-17 academic year.
It has been an incredibly exciting semester and we look forward to what the spring has to offer.
