2019 was such an incredible year for Theatre and Media Performance at Stevenson University. In February we produced Lisa D’Amour’s play, Red Death directed by Deirdre McAllister in our Studio Theatre. April brought Finding Florence to our stage—an original devised piece of theatre exploring the history of the nursing profession from Florence Nightingale to contemporary times. This powerful collaboration between the SU Nursing Department and SU Theatre and Media Performance Program was truly a landmark production. May brought a mix of joy and tears as we said goodbye to some of our most talented students—Jordan Brown, Keeley Nichols, Sean Laraway, Zach Brecheen and Jack Rizzo. They have all gone off to successful adventures and we are very proud! The fall brought Henrik Ibsen’s dark classic Hedda Gabler to the stage featuring many of our TMP students. We can’t wait for 2020: A Vision of Musical Theatre (February) and Wonder/Glass (April) as well as the many other exciting events planned for Theatre and Media Performance in 2020! Have a wonderful holiday season!!!!
