Producer Susan Leber and Director Michael O’Shea—wife and husband—are our Fall 2021 artists-in-residence. On Tuesday, November 16, and Wednesday, November 17, they will visit a few classes, and then on Wednesday, November 17, at 7pm, they will present their 2016 film The Transfiguration and participate in a Q&A afterwards. Here is the description of the film from its official website: “An official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, writer/director Michael O’Shea’s debut feature The Transfiguration follows troubled teen Milo who hides behind his fascination with vampire lore. When he meets the equally alienated Sophie, the two form a bond that begins to challenge Milo’s dark obsession, blurring his fantasy into reality. A chilling portrait of violence, The Transfiguration is an atmospheric thriller set against the grit of New York City.”

The screening will take place in our School of Design Soundstage (SD101). Because of COVID-related social-distancing requirements, anyone wishing to attend in person needs to sign up to do so here: If you are unable to sign up in time or wish to attend virtually, here is a link to the event on BlueJeans:
