On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parrack stopped by the Fashion Design studio to donate several vintage garments that date back to the 1900s! These garments are all in excellent condition and will be valuable pieces to add on to the program’s costume collection.

The Parrack’s donated a four-piece historic wedding tuxedo, which includes 2 vests, a jacket, and pants. The tuxedo belonged to Mr. Parrack’s grandfather, which he wore the day he got married. He lived in Baltimore County all his life, and it is very important to the family that the garments remain in the area.

They also donated a Haute Couture piece from the design house of Monte Sano, and was carried by one of Baltimore’s venerable retailers, Hutzler’s, in 1970. Mrs. Francie Parrack was a Buyer for the department store.

The family is thrilled that they have a found a permanent home for the garments, and that they will become a part of the program’s historic and vintage study collection.
