Mina Grubb is a senior fashion design student at Stevenson who’s showcasing her collection at this year’s annual Stevenson University fashion show on May 6th. Patternmaking was the fashion class at Stevenson that solidified her fashion design dream for her. She enjoyed the technical aspect of the course. Mina describes her collection as elegant, romantic, and flowy. Her biggest struggle when learning to sew is putting the pieces together correctly. This seems to be a common theme for designers learning how to sew.

No specific designer comes to the forefront of her mind when designing. Aesthetics such as cottage core and romanticizing your life and nature inspired Mina’s collection. Mina that she grew as a designer through her draping and patternmaking courses. Mina’s dream job is to be a creative director. Check out Mina’s collection at this year’s fashion show!
