On a beautiful spring day, Stevenson University’s 64th Commencement Ceremony took place on the Greenspring campus. At 3pm, on Thursday, May 18th six fashion design seniors, Edna Jones, Venus Khosravani, Rana Kurban, Benish Masih, Tatsiana Toustsik, and Deneen Watson, excitedly crossed the stage, officially completing their Bachelor’s Degrees in Fashion Design!

After graduation, Edna, will begin her fashion career working for Victor Rossi, a local fashion designer with his own private label. “The product range we produce ranges from day to evening and includes everything from custom beading, evening wear, bridal wear, dresses and separates, sportswear, chic casuals in cotton and denim as well as scarves, bags, footwear and home furnishings.” Please click on the link see about the exciting company Edna will be working with. http://www.victorrossi.com/home.htm

Under Amour (UA) has courted Venus for the Assistant Technical Design/Product Developer position. They were extremely impressed with her work during her internship with them last summer. Howard Community College (HCCC) has also been courting Venus. Their Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development would love for her to be one of their newest Fashion Design Adjunct Instructors. Ultimately, Venus has decided to use her degree to launch the Venus Khosravani Private Label couture fashion line!

Before graduation, Rana Kurban, got a job as an Inspection Manager with Andersen-Becker, Inc.; she began working there immediately after graduating. There, Rana inspects all garments once they are completed, making sure that they look flawless before they are shipped to customers. Benish Masih will be relocating to London, England to be with her husband in July. There she will be working as a Technical Designer in a start-up sportswear business, while pursuing her Master’s Degree with the online program at Liberty University, which is located in Virginia. http://www.liberty.edu/

With no immediate work plans, Tatsiana Toustsik, will be moving to Sri Lanka in June. After asking what she plans to do there, she told me that she just wants to take some time to relax and soak up some sun!

Deneen Watson will be joining friend and alumna, Rana, at Andersen-Becker, Inc, as a Technical Designer. She completed her internship hours here and owner, Lee Anderson, was delighted to have Deneen join them again. Deneen also plans to pursue her Master’s Degree at West Virginia University. She will be participating in their online Integrated Marketing Communications program. http://online.wvu.edu/
