On August 29, junior and sophomore teacher candidates in the School of Education met with their University Mentors for orientation to prepare for their field experiences.
Sophomore teacher candidates are placed in local elementary and middle schools one morning a week to observe and teach small and whole group lessons. In the junior year, field experiences increase to one full day a week. In addition to this valuable experiential learning experiences, students are concurrently enrolled in Education courses that link theory to practice.
