The Stevenson Psi Omicron Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international education honors society, has been selected as a 2022 Chapter Programming Award Recipient for Professional Development and Community Service. The Program Awards recognize chapters for demonstrating excellence in a program area; two program awards can be earned in different areas each academic year.

In April of 2022, the Psi Omicron Chapter hosted “High Tea,” an event that welcomed the School of Education alumni from 2016 to 2021 to socialize, reconnect, and “Remember Your Why.” This event led to the Professional Development Program Award. The Chapter’s “Can Gobble Drive” Food Bank Fundraiser from November to December of 2021 resulted in the Community Service Program Award.

The 2022 Program Awards have joined the KDP award showcase cabinet on the third floor of the Manning Academic Center on the Owings Mills North campus.

In addition to these two prestigious awards, the Chapter’s President, Wiktoria Bilich, was recognized as a recipient of both the 2022 J. Jay Hostetler Scholarship and Distinguished Chapter Officer Award. Wiktoria commented, “What an honor this is! I have so much gratitude for our Chapter, counselors, and the incredible officers I’m proud to stand next to.”
