Eighteen Education majors accompanied Dr. Beth Kobett, Dean of the School of Education, to the 2024 Annual Conference of the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) held October 18 at Reservoir High School in Howard County.
The theme of the conference was “Sustaining Community: Finding Our Way Back to What Matters Most.” Participants listened to an opening keynote speaker then attended break-out sessions on a variety of topics related to mathematics education. Dr. Kobett co-presented a session entitled, “Strength-Based Feedback: Maximizing Formative Assessment and Mathematical Understandings.”
