Each semester, our senior science and math students enroll in their Capstone course. This course allows the seniors to engage in an internship or research experience related to their career goals. For examples, students interested in attending pharmacy school work in a pharmacy or conduct pharmaceutical research and students interested in pursuing a career in the chemical industry are placed in a chemical company. These experiences give our students real world opportunities that are invaluable in their future career plans.

At the culmination of the Capstone course, each student prepares a poster using the format of a professional scientific meeting. At the end of each semester, the School of the Sciences hosts a Poster Session. The senior students discuss their Capstone experiences with the Stevenson Community and invited guests. Everyone was impressed with our students’ knowledge and poise in discussing their internships and research projects!
