Malik Naanaa is a Chemistry and Master of Forensic Science Graduate of Stevenson. He has also been teaching as an instructor in the Forensic Science Master’s program for five years. Malik’s full time job is as a Forensic Chemist II of the Seized Drug Unit at Anne Arundel County’s Crime lab. He was recently recognized as the Forensic Services Employee of the Quarter. Kudos, Professor Naanaa!
“Malik successfully passed the American Board of Criminalistics Seized Drug Analysis Exam. He is always willing to assist other colleagues and lend his advanced chemistry knowledge to anyone in need. Additionally, he routinely teaches an evidence packaging course for new police officers. Malik always ensures the laboratory is clean, tasks are completed, and everyone is included in fun, team-building events. This past year, Malik helped facilitate group workouts alongside the department’s Wellness Officer, which strengthened both the mental and physical health of the entire Forensic Services team. Malik is a true asset to Forensic Services, the Anne Arundel Police Department, and our community.”
