Alumna Alexa Gannon (Biology ’18) started her graduate studies this August in the Ph.D. program for Molecular Genetics at University of South Florida. She is currently doing her rotations: her first rotation is in lab that works with Borrelia, and then she will rotate through a lab that investigates microbes in the Cystic Fibrosis lung, and she will do her final rotation in a molecular oncology lab before making her choice of dissertation lab. She cites her work with Dr. Burgess at Stevenson as being key in preparing her for graduate studies. Congratulations Alexa!
