Dr. Featherstone has more than 30 years of leadership experience in higher education administration and finance. He held senior financial leadership positions at multiple universities, including serving as Assistant Vice President and Controller and Assistant Chancellor of Finance. He oversaw all aspects of business operations within the administration and finance division, including accounting and financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budget planning and analysis, human resources, and auxiliary services. As an internal auditor, he provided independent and objective assurance to management teams by assessing internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, procedures, and regulations designed to safeguard assets.

In the public accounting arena, he served as an auditor for major firms, including Clifton Gunderson, LLP, and Grant Thornton, Accountants and Management Consultants. He has extensive experience reviewing financial records, leading audits, preparing financial statements, developing corporate tax returns, and guiding clients in addressing complex financial needs. His corporate clients spanned industries including healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing, real estate, and nonprofits.
