Vocational Support for Our Veterans: Stevenson Offers Career Fair and Resource Expo, May 21

Stevenson University will host a Veterans Career Fair and Resource Expo on Wednesday, May 21 in the Rockland Center from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Rockland Center is located on the University’s Owings Mills campus, 100 Campus Circle, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
This event is free and is open to all veterans, their spouses, and dependents from the community.
Veterans will have the opportunity to network with employers and address inquiries with community partners on services available to them in the domains of housing, physical/mental health services, veteran benefit claims, and vocational support services.
Prior to the fair, from 10 a.m. to noon, attendees will also be able to participate in the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process workshop. The workshop is a reflective group process that uncovers motivated strengths and assists participants on how to articulate those strengths into various opportunities within multiple industries. In addition, the workshop will explore job searching strategies that can prepare participants for the networking aspect of the employment fair, as well as the effective delivery of their own “30 second commercial”.
