Stevenson Mustangs Make History in the MAC Commonwealth Championships
Fall 2025 was a historic season for the Stevenson University Mustangs. The Field Hockey, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, and Women’s Volleyball teams advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Championships. This is the first time since Stevenson joined the MAC Commonwealth Conference in July 2012 that four teams went on to the postseason.
Field Hockey
On November 5, Field Hockey defeated Hood College and advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament. Three days later, on November 8, the Mustangs defeated Messiah University to claim the MAC Commonwealth Championship title. With their victory over Messiah, the Stevenson Field Hockey program made its very first NCAA tournament appearance. Field Hockey ended the season in the a hard-fought NCAA First Round matchup against Worcester Polytechnic Institute on November 12.
Men’s Soccer
On November 5, Men’s Soccer defeated York College of Pennsylvania 2-1 in overtime to advance to the MAC Commonwealth Championship. The Mustangs faced top-seeded Messiah on Saturday, November 8, and ended the Fall 2025 season as runner-up in the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
Women’s Soccer
Women’s Soccer defeated York College of Pennsylvania 2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth Semifinals on November 4 to advance to the conference championship. The Mustangs then faced Messiah on November 8, ending their season as runner-up in the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
Women’s Volleyball
Women’s Volleyball clinched the No. 2 seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championship after sweeping Albright on November 5. After defeating Messiah 3-1 on November 12, the Mustangs advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Championship for the eleventh time in the program’s history. The Mustangs then traveled to St. Davids, Pennsylvania to defeat Eastern University 3-2. With their victory over Eastern, the Mustangs claimed the MAC Commonwealth Championship and earned an appearance in the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Tournament against Johns Hopkins. Women’s Volleyball ended the season after a challenging opening round against Johns Hopkins.
