Dr. Lisa Moyer has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. Dr. Moyer serves as the Director of Graduate Education and has been a member of the Stevenson University faculty since 2018. In addition to her director role, she teaches numerous courses and has developed several graduate programs: the Master’s of Art in Teaching (MAT) in Early Childhood Education, MAT in Secondary STEM Education, Master’s of Science in Community Based Education and Leadership (CBEL), Master’s of Education (MEd) in Integrative Learning, Certificate in Literacy Education, and National Board Certification (NBPTS). Her duties also include coordinating field-based teaching experiences for graduate teacher candidates. Dr. Moyer’s scholarship focuses on integrative STEM education, community-based education, educator well-being, and the Science of Reading. She co-developed an instrument to analyze STEM curricula for the Palestinian Ministry of Education and has worked with the Egyptian Ministry of Education to build STEM teacher education programs.

Courtney Koerber has been promoted to the rank of Adjunct Professor. Ms. Koerber graduated from Stevenson in 2014 with a degree in Middle School Education: Mathematics and Science. She teaches courses in Methods of Teaching Middle School Science and Math for Educators II. Ms. Koerber has been a teacher at East Middle School in Carroll County since 2014, and earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from McDaniel College in 2019. She is National Board for Professional Teaching certified, as well as earning additional certifications. She holds multiple leadership roles in her school system and has been nominated as Outstanding Teacher for several years.
