On Monday, February 26 at 12 noon, sophomore English major Audrey Diggs, Editor of the campus literary magazine The Greenspring Review, picked up the mic in the middle of the Rockland Dining Hall.
As fellow students lunched and talked, Audrey launched into the opening lines of her “Monday Poem,” which sounded over the busy dining hall.
The “pop-up” event not only brought poetry spontaneously into students’ lunch hour, but served to promote The Greenspring Review, which is currently open to submissions until April 9. The magazine will hold a full-length open mic night soon. Stay tuned for details.
