On March 23, Stevenson’s University’s Student Government Association, School of Education, and Leadership Scholars Program presented a program, “Education Today,” in the Rockland Banquet Hall. Educators in a variety of roles in local school systems served on a panel to discuss current issues and answer questions of a variety of topics

Co-hosts Emmalyn Kohl and Hannah Hammill, junior Elementary Education majors, welcomed the audience and panel members. They asked prepared questions for each panelist to answer, and the audience used a QR link to an online form to ask their own questions. The panelists provided thoughtful and insightful responses, and even some humorous responses, based on their real-life experiences in schools.

The organizers provided a QR link to a feedback form to receive suggestions for planning another Education Today event in the future. Special thanks to Dr. Beth Kobett, Dean of the School of Education, for supporting the event!
