On March 27, Education faculty and students presented at the Paul D. Lack Scholars’ Showcase.
Dr. Lisa Moyer; Director of Graduate Education Program & Associate Professor, served as moderator for the plenary panel discussion, “Bridging Academia & Practice.” Dr. Moyer also presented, “The National Science Foundation Peer Review Panel Process.”

Sarah Bisson ‘27 and Emmalynn Kohl ’27, Elementary Education majors, presented, “Preparing Students to Thrive: The Power of Social Emotional Learning in Schools.”

Middle School Education majors Justine Bagasbas ‘27 and Ja’naz Crawley ‘27 presented “Literary Case Studies” about disciplinary literacy in the fields of mathematics and science.
Justine Bagasbas ‘27 was also named the winner of the 2026 LiBRA Award for library research.

Dr. Ariel Borns, Assistant Professor of Education), presented, “International Education Research: Exploring Professional Learning in Multilingual Contexts.”
