Another successful Herbal Medicines and Remedies 2020 Winterim course has finished and the students are headed back to Baltimore. During their time in Ecuador, students learned about the indigenous medicines of the region through various excursions to Botanical Gardens, Ecological Reserves, and indigenous clinics and hospitals. They learned about one of Ecuador’s main exports, chocolate, at the Chicao cocoa farm. In all it was a fabulous trip led by chemistry faculty member Dr. Tim Dwyer.
