The Chemistry Department wished warm congratulations to our 21 chemistry and biochemistry graduates at the May Commencement. Students and faculty gathered right before the ceremony for a departmental graduation picture. Our students have bright futures ahead of them: some have jobs in industry and some are continuing their education in graduate school in pharmacy, physical therapy, medicine, forensic science and chemistry. In addition, one student will be playing professional lacrosse with the Chesapeake Bayhawks before continuing with a career in chemical engineering.
Faculty wished the students well in the words of Henry David Thoreau:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
