Students in Genetics and Graphic Design classes had the opportunity last week to hear from Chief Operations Manager of Catlilli Games, Orville Paynter, about game design. Catlilli Games is an Virginia-based educational game design company. Dr. Glaser’s genetics students are collaborating with students in Dr. Marx’s Graphic Design class to create instructional games. The games will be designed to teach the players about CRISPR, a feature of bacterial genomes that is the basis for editing technology. This partnership is one of several Arts Alive initiatives on campus that allow the classes to work together on a common project.
