Alumni Samantha Paulus and Elizabeth Gudesblat were recently published in the Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine for their work assessing the efficacy of rapid syphilis tests. The rapid syphilis tests they examined would enable point-of-care diagnosis and expedite treatment of infections, particularly in resource-limited locations, allowing for improved patient outcomes. Elizabeth worked with Dr. Constantine as part of her capstone experience, while Samantha carried on the project as a Laboratory Research Tech Assistant in Dr Constantine’s lab where she is currently employed. Congratulations!
