Highlights

In the classroom, I try to provide as much hands-on practice as possible. Learning mathematics has much in common with learning a foreign language; it takes practice. I believe that a keen sense of curiosity is a vital ingredient to learning and I encourage students to ask questions at every opportunity (In my classes there’s no such thing as a dumb question).

When I’m not in the classroom, I’m usually in rehearsal or performing on stage at one of Baltimore’s many community theatres. Comedy is my favorite theatrical genre, and I love to lighten the classroom with a little laughter.  Students in my classes should expect to work hard, while feeling safe to be themselves.
