Research

Dr. Schneiderman focuses his scholarship on culturally sustaining instruction, trauma-informed teaching, and social-emotional development. By ensuring that future teachers are adept at these important, but often less emphasized, pieces of their teacher education they will be able to support all of their students and be successful in their careers. Dr. Schneiderman also studies faculty development and, through his role as the Faculty Director of the Zirkin Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, works to engage faculty in critical professional learning to improve their craft.
