Hundreds of Stevenson students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the local community came out to Stevenson’s Owings Mills campus for the University’s first Food Truck Rally on Saturday, April 9.

The day featured eight food truck vendors specializing in a variety of different cuisines from hot pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven and a variety of takes on the pulled pork taco to bite-sized doughnut holes fresh out of the deep fryer. The Rally also included live music and activities for children (regular and adult) such as balloon art and face-painting.

“Everyone loves food trucks, and the amazing turnout we received from both our campus community and our local community is evidence of that,” said Hope Miller Miles, Assistant Director of Student Activities. “We’re already looking forward to putting on another rally next year.”

Stevenson University, known for its distinctive career focus, is the third-largest independent university in Maryland with more than 4,200 students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and adult bachelor’s programs at locations in Stevenson and Owings Mills.
