The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) of Stevenson University is a scholarly community open to diverse frames of meaning, modes of inquiry and application, and methodological processes in studying the individual, groups, human productions, and social behavior and conditions. The School unites the broadest range of liberal arts with personal reflection and career development. It cultivates and abides by the habits of ethical performance and the use of critical and creative thinking to foster lifelong learning and to solve local and global problems significant to humanists and social scientists.

The Office of Career Services in conjunction with the Stevenson Department of Athletics hosted a Sports Industry Symposium on Wednesday, February 20. The purpose of the symposium was to expose students to various career paths in the world of sport and to hear directly from successful industry representatives.

The first public showing of the Lego Challenge documentary "Brick by Brick" will happen on Saturday, Jan 19, 2013 at 2:30pm on Baltimore's WBAL Channel 11. There will also be an event held in the Ratcliffe Center at 2:30pm with FREE food. Hope to see you there!

Morgan Somerville, Student Employment Manager here at Stevenson University, and students discuss this fun and engaging fundraiser for "Mission: I'm Home." All the proceeds of the event go directly to benefiting "Mission: I'm Home," a Stevenson University Student Organization that raises money every year to travel to New Orleans over spring break and aid in the ongoing rebuild efforts from the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina.

All students are required to study subjects closely related to their major and to take courses that promote knowledge of and experience in technology. The goal throughout is to blend the liberal arts and the courses within the major in order to prepare students for life after SU.

The School of the Sciences at Stevenson University makes inquiry the foundation of a creative synergy between faculty and students that enhances student learning. In addition to our traditional programs, students have an innovative opportunity to accelerate their studies in Stevenson's BS/MS programs. A student can complete a bachelor's degree in either biotechnology or chemistry as well as a master's degree in forensic science in as few as five years.
