Research

My research uses radio emission to study activity in galaxies. Radio emission is a fantastic indicator that a galaxy is either currently forming new stars or has an actively-feeding black hole in its nucleus. My projects have involved seeing how the environment around a galaxy influences its activity, particularly in clusters of galaxies, and how galaxies have changed between the early universe and today. While all of my work includes some aspect of radio astronomy, I also have substantial experience with astronomy at optical, infrared, and X-ray wavelengths. (Link to profile on ResearchGate)
