Stevenson University will present "Oedipus Rex" Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 19-21 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in Stevenson's Inscape Theatre, located on the University's Greenspring Campus. Stevenson University has a dedicated pre-law advisor within the paralegal faculty who is an attorney and can guide students in LSAT preparation and law school admissions procedures. An upper-level law elective is available to help prepare students for the Law School Admissions Test.

On Oct. 16, Stevenson University held a public reception for "The National Poster Retrospecticus." A traveling show of more than 300 hand-printed event posters, the exhibition featured the work of more than 100 of the most prominent poster designers in the U.S.

The Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry program grounds you in the chemical, physical, and biological principles that characterize living systems. You will develop an interdisciplinary mindset that will prepare you to embrace the interdependent nature of these areas of study. In the laboratory, you will develop a wide range of technical skills required in the modern workforce in research and industrial environments. Working with state-of-the-art instrumentation in well-equipped facilities, you will gain excellent lab and analytical skills that will prepare you for future employment or continuing education in graduate or professional school. Upon completion of this program, you will be especially well-prepared for further study in the health sciences, including medical or pharmacy school.

On Sunday, October 4 at 3 p.m., a collaborative production by Stevenson University and the Gordon Center will feature the music of one of America’s greatest composers. “By George! By Ira! By Gershwin!” will tell the story of the musical genius of George and Ira Gershwin and highlight some of the duo's most popular songs.

Stevenson University presents the exhibition “The Draw of Hand-Lettering: A Contemporary Survey,” August 24-October 2, 2015, in the School of Design Gallery, Owings Mills North campus. A public reception will be held Thursday, September 17, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Despite the design world’s increasingly digital environment, hand lettering—the art of drawing one-of-a-kind letters—has grown more popular in recent years. On August 20, 2015, Stevenson University officially welcomed more than 900 new students to campus with Convocation Ceremonies held in the Owings Mills Gym. Awarded to incoming freshmen on the basis of a Founders’ Scholarship Interview, the Founders’ Scholarship recognizes a student’s potential to become an active, engaged member of the Stevenson community. All applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale or 80 on a 100-point scale and a minimum score of 1500 on the 3-section SAT or a 22 ACT composite score are invited to interview for this scholarship. The Founders’ Scholarship, in the amount of $2,000, is awarded in addition to another Stevenson University merit-based scholarship. Like all of Stevenson’s scholarships, the Founders’ Scholarship is renewable for a total of four years. More information at www.stevenson.edu/founders.

In its December 2011 report, the Institute of Medicine called for more bachelor's educated nurses in the workforce. Stevenson's innovative, accelerated BS in Nursing is designed for working adults like you who want earn your bachelor's degree as well as to expand your career horizon. This program builds on your current expertise and focuses on professionalism, excellence in practice, and strategies to meet the challenges of the workplace. The programs are flexible and convenient, with courses are offered in two formats: online, which allows for the entire program to be completed online, and hybrid, which is a combination of online and face-to-face. The RN to MS option provides qualified Stevenson University RN to BS students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's in nursing while being strongly focused upon continuing with the graduate program. When you are accepted into the RN to MS option, you'll take a graduate nursing course while completing their undergraduate work that satisfies the final undergraduate elective and count as the first course in the graduate program. In the MS program, you can choose a concentration in either Leadership/Management, Education, or Population-Based Care Coordination.
