The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) of Stevenson University is a scholarly community open to diverse frames of meaning, modes of inquiry and application, and methodological processes in studying the individual, groups, human productions, and social behavior and conditions. The School of the Sciences at Stevenson University makes inquiry the foundation of a creative synergy between faculty and students that enhances student learning. In addition to our traditional programs, students have an innovative opportunity to accelerate their studies in Stevenson's BS/MS programs. A student can complete a bachelor's degree in either biotechnology or chemistry as well as a master's degree in forensic science in as few as five years.

First Impressions Art Gallery Opening presented work created at Sol Print Studios featuring thirteen of Baltimore's most renowned artists. Artists speak about their passion, focus, and goals in regards to their art. The work will be on view through November 30, 2012, in the St. Paul Companies Pavilion on the Greenspring Campus.

Stevenson is now home to a new Women's Ice Hockey Team. Shera Vis, women's hockey head coach, and players discuss what this means to them and how the team has come together for their first season and first home game in Owings Mills.

On October 23, 2012, team manager of the Stevenson University men's soccer team, student Kyle Kauffman, takes to the field as a starter to realize a long-held dream: to play college soccer. Kyle does not let the effects of cerebral palsy hold him back. He plays 18 minutes on field in a winning game against opponent Hood College.

Stevenson University hosts a two week training session for teachers from around the country for Project Lead The Way. Project Lead The Way is an advanced science course which stresses practical and hands on application of scientific theories. During the two weeks at Stevenson, teachers fine tune instruction as well as network with other Project Lead The Way instructors.

Maria tells how the program teaches fraud prevention and how to be an expert witness when testifying. You can even pick your forensic focus.
