Stevenson University's B.A. in English Language and Literature was designed to help our students plan their career path beginning in their first year of study. This program will give you considerable flexibility in planning your coursework and pursuing your career goals. There are four sequences of courses: career development, literature, creative writing, and professional writing. You will graduate prepared to read closely, think critically, write clearly, and understand literature as both art and a record of our cultural heritage.

The brand new Stevenson University Hall of Fame stands to recognize the achievements of former outstanding student-athletes. It opened to great fanfare during Homecoming + Family Weekend 2014, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 22, and a banquet on October 25. Learn more:

Stevenson University’s Fashion Design program collaborated with the Cherie Amour boutique to present, “A Bridal Party,” an exhibition of one-of-a-kind, repurposed bridal gowns. The gowns—some of which were first worn in the 1970s and 80s—have been deconstructed, redesigned, and re-purposed by junior and senior fashion design majors enrolled in Stevenson’s Fashion Design Internship course. The gowns range in size and price and will be available for sale in the boutique, with all proceeds supporting Success In Style, a non-profit that works to provide stylish business attire to disadvantaged individuals seeking employment.

The Digital Marketing program at Stevenson University gives students an interdisciplinary skillset to apply to a career in marketing. Students learn foundational marketing principles as well as the fundamentals of design for print and digital platforms.

One of the nation's few four-year undergraduate majors in the field, Stevenson's Public History major provides students a firm foundation in American history combined with the opportunity to study and practice the public presentation of history. On Monday, September 29, 2014, hundreds of Orioles fans and community members attended an Orioles #WeWontStop Rally outside of Mustang Stadium on Stevenson University’s Owings Mills campus. The event featured a Q&A with former Oriole Scott McGregor, playoff ticket and T-shirt giveaways, and appearance by the Oriole Bird.

Your personal description includes your self-assessment and learning experiences combined to describe you authentically and in an engaged, interesting fashion. Career fairs, networking symposiums, conferences, seminars, and more help you prepare for a successful job search or for applications to graduate school.

Building upon classroom knowledge and theory, this aspect of Career Architecture is all about putting theory to work through internships, service learning, on campus employment, and part-time jobs.
