Policy for Handshake and Careershift accounts

HandshakeHandshake provides students and alumni with access to the resources of the Stevenson Career Connection Center. Students/Alumni can schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor or Executive in Residence; Apply to On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) events and be notified of scheduled On-Campus Interviews (OCI); RSVP to events and workshops sponsored by the Career Connection Center; Search for, and apply to jobs and internships.

Mustang Career Mentors Program - The Mustang Career Mentors Program connects student to Stevenson alumni and community partners to provide networking opportunities and career advice. Students are able to search mentors based on their major and interests. They review the matched mentors, and connect to mentors of interest through the system. Mentors choose the number of Mentees they wish to have at any time, and receive a system email notification when a student asks to connect with them. CareerShiftCareerShift searches and organizes jobs posted on all public career sites and job boards. It allows you to search, select and store job listings, research companies, and manage your job hunt in your own personalized interface. Contact the Career Connection Center for information on how to set up your account.

Parker Dewey - Parker Dewey connects students with employers on short-term paid projects (micro-internships), usually in the range of 5 - 40 hours. You can use Parker Dewey to explore different career paths, work on interesting assignments, and demonstrate your abilities to potential employers. Sign up for a profile using your Stevenson email address.

LinkedIn - LinkedIn is an essential tool for your job and internship search.  Create and complete your profile, and use LinkedIn to find jobs and network connections.

MANGO – MANGO is a free tool that coaches you through networking, starting with the outreach email. It provides step-by-step help on writing customized networking emails, having productive informational interviews, and managing one-on-one networking.

O*Net OnlineO*NET OnLine has detailed descriptions of the world of work for use by job seekers, workforce development and HR professionals, students, researchers, and more! is a free web-based job board enabling federal job seekers access to thousands of job opportunities across hundreds of federal agencies and organizations.
